Education for Ministry (EfM) Update

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Education for Ministry (EfM) is back and we are accepting enrollments. Your generous donations have made it possible to begin the EfM seminars the week of September 14. We have enough mentors to have four seminar groups our first year. We are also very grateful to those churches who have offered us space for our seminar groups.

Participants commit for one year at a time at a cost of $340 per year. If you have been part of an EfM seminar in the past, you may begin again where you left off or repeat a previous year if you choose. If you have never been part of an EfM seminar, you will begin with Year 1 and spend your first year studying the Old Testament. The fee covers the cost of EfM’s tuition and materials. You will also need a study Bible. Seminar times will be determined by the group but will last about 2-1/2 hours.

Registration for the seminars must be submitted to your respective mentor and paid in full by September 1 to provide sufficient time to order materials for your first night. Please read EfM’s Appendix B-1. If you agree with the terms of this commitment, please complete the Student Enrollment Form and submit it to the appropriate Mentor along with your payment. Checks should be made payable to University of the South. You may also pay with your Visa or MasterCard. As you can see in Appendix B-1, there are limited scholarships available. If you require a scholarship, please contact the Mentor of your preferred seminar or me personally. Your request will be kept confidential.
