Good News!

• The diocese owns a Webex meeting room. What’s Webex, and why might you care? Webex is a service that allows anyone with a computer and a telephone to participate in a web-based conference. On your computer screen, in real time, you can see the people attending the meeting and any documents shared in the meeting. You can hear what’s being said and participate in the conversation over your phone (or over your computer).  All from the comfort of your home or office. So you don’t have to drive to a meeting place – which might be two hours away.

• Bill Miller will be sharing congregational development insights Aug. 27.  You and other leaders from your congregation are invited to access Bill’s wisdom by attending a congregational development workshop on Saturday, Aug. 27, 9:30 to 12:30, at St. Philip Presbyterian Church, Hurst. • Your diocese is working hard at listening.  The Indaba Committee wants to come to your congregation. And CODS (the Commission on Diocesan Structure) wants to hear what you think. (Click here to read more.)
   
• Budget in process.  Thanks to good work by our diocesan treasurer Bob Hicks and our diocesan finance committee, the 2012 budget is almost ready to send out to the deaneries for consideration at their August meetings. (Click here to read more.)
