Bob Hicks accepts position as diocesan treasurer
Bishop Wallis Ohl has asked Bob Hicks of St. Christopher to serve as diocesan treasurer through 2011
and he has accepted.
"Bob has been the driving force in getting our budgets, both for this year and 2011 in shape for the Executive Council meeting on 9/11/10," Bishop Ohl said, "and has the willingness and energy to work with Linda Johnson to provide for the diocese all the transparency and reports that we could ever ask for or desire."
Since coming to Fort Worth in 1998, Bob has been an active member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church and several Diocesan organizations. He has served two terms on the vestry; been senior warden, vestry clerk, and chair of the Planning Committee and Advance Commitment Team Leader for the recent Capital Stewardship Campaign. He has been an alternate delegate or delegate to the diocesan convention since 2005. He is a trustee to the Fund for the Endowment of the Episcopate. He is a member of the Diocesan Executive Council and member of the finance, policy, and best practices for diocesan structure committees. He is a member of the Finance Subcommittee for Developing the 2011 Budget.
Bob retired in 2004 after 34 years of service with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development where he was the Director of Operations for Multifamily Housing for the Southwest Region for the last 6 ½ years.
