An update from our historiographer

The Historiographer of The Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth proudly announces the acquisition of an eBook titled: Journals of General Conventions of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States, published by authority of the General Convention, Vol. III - HISTORICAL NOTES AND DOCUMENTS ILLUSTRATING THE ORGANIZATION …, by William Stephens Perry, D. D., HISTORIOGRAPHER of the AMERICAN CHURCH, 1874. The contents, printed in eight binders, includes: Table of Contents, The Preliminary Conventions, The Convention of 1785, The Convention of 1786, The Conventions of 1789, Appendix of Documents, The Case of the Episcopal Church Considered, Bishop Seabury’s Communion Office, The Alterations in the Prayer Book Adopted 1789, An Index of the Principal Matters Contained in the Journals of General Conventions 1785 – 1835, Inclusive, and A History of the Eastern Diocese by Calvin R. Batchelder.

This book is available for research and study of the history of the Church in the Archives History Library at the diocesan offices and in electronic form by email request to the Historiographer at djleedy@sbcglobal.net. Please include "Historical Notes" in the subject line of your email and your parish affiliation in the body. We also ask that you do not further distribute the eBook, so that all distributions are made directly by the Historiographer.

Additional previously unpublicized acquisitions by the Archives History Library include St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, Texas – Celebrating 50 Years of Ministry 2007, donated by Ken and Ann Monroe and 17 separate books from Operation Pass Along in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
