Louis Weil speaks during Lenten Series - 040911

Louis Weil spoke at the 2011 Lenten Series on Saturday, April 9, at St. Christopher's, a follow up to the retreat he led for the clergy Wednesday through Friday. Rather than simply make a presentation, he facilitated a discussion among those present, not only about liturgy, but also about ways we might reconcile with our brothers and sisters who have been separated from us. This resulted in a lively exchange of ideas, suggestions and musings out of which emerged some central themes: 1. There can be no one-size-fits-all approach to reconciliation, since each parish situation will be different; 2. Different parishes may proceed through this process at different speeds, and that's just fine; 3. Building mutual trust and respect will be key; and 4.
