St. Stephen's Hurst Photo Collection

Below are photographs taken at several events in the life of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Hurst, showing what a busy, vibrant and happy congregation they are. Click on any of the photos to see them all. Click here to return to the Photo Gallery.

Ronald McDonald House - July 10, 2010. The Outreach Committee of St. Stephen's Hurst has established a relationship with the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth to support their efforts in providing lodging and meals to the families of hospitalized children. In 2009, we began by collecting pop tops. The RMH cashes in these pop tops to buy pizza for those evenings that meals are not prepared by organizations within the Fort Worth area. Also in 2009, we began preparing meals at the House and will continue to do this quarterly. Our most recent outing was on July 10, 2010 and we were blessed to have several of our youth members join us in meal preparation.

Youth at the Zoo – March 2010. St. Stephen's Hurst is always looking for opportunities for outings for our youth. Besides our summer swim parties at members' homes, we also held a day at the Fort Worth Zoo in March.

DOK Installation  - January 31, 2010. The Epiphany Chapter of the Daughters of the King at St. Stephen's Hurst has an active chapter that meets monthly for study and fellowship. In January, our chapter was blessed to accept into membership Marcia Polsgrove, Brenda Nevrkla, Shannon Singer, and Peggy Gagliardi. We ask your prayers as we continue to discern God's will for us and how He would have us move forward in our ministry.

Christmas Eve - December 24, 2009. Being a parish without a permanent home, St. Stephen's Hurst is blessed to hold Sunday School and Worship services at the Northeast Wedding Chapel in Hurst. But for Christmas, the Wedding Chapel was already rented, so we went back to our first home since November 2008 – the Oak Crest Woman's Club. If you’ll remember, Christmas Eve was a snowy icy evening, but it didn't keep some of our members from celebrating Christ's Birth! Those present will tell you that braving the elements was a blessing.
